Meet Ethan, Lauren and their two gorgeous girls - the newest residents of Weemala Estate, Boolaroo. Recently receiving the keys to their brand-new Complete home, we sat down with them both for a chat to discuss everything from their experience of building with Complete by McDonald Jones, to what they’re most looking forward to in their new home. Since moving to the Hunter and renting for many years, Ethan and Lauren fell in love with Lake Macquarie. Whilst they noticed the Weemala Estate community starting to develop, other life milestones took priority, and they felt it wasn’t the right time.
Skip forward a few years, Ethan and Lauren were ready to create their forever home and noticed the new release of Boolaroo house and land packages coming up. “It was just a dream come true,” said Ethan. “To come here with a family now, close to the park that we just happen to be going to all the time, it just all fell together - right time, right place”.
Ethan and Lauren came across Complete by McDonald Jones when researching builders in the area and fast learned Complete’s ready-built model really appealed to them.
“It really just suited us, wanting to sell a property and have that new build feeling without the stress - it was very straight forward,” continued Ethan. "Especially having landscaping, driveways – all of that done – not having to worry about that when we moved in was always a positive.”
Previously purchasing an existing property, this was Ethan and Lauren’s first build, a process they found clear and easy to navigate, thanks to regular communication and updates from their site supervisor James. “It was fun to watch the process; we only drove past 150 times,” they laughed.
Ethan and Lauren found the value of a Complete turnkey home fantastic, especially having a fixed price, which gave them peace of mind with no unexpected costs popping up throughout the build!
“Coming in with fencing done, landscaping done, driveway done, we’re not having to worry about that once we move in. It’s probably one of the main factors of why we went with Complete; it’s a true turnkey home.”
“The finishes throughout have exceeded our expectations. There are things we keep picking up and we can’t believe how high quality they are! It’s not your standard level of inclusion, it’s definitely more of a premium finish, which is fantastic, and we love them.”
Lauren says she’s most excited for the brand-new kitchen, and comments just how good the backyard will be for their girls. Ethan said, “We’re really excited about moving into a home purposely designed for young families. Moving from our past property to this one, the girls are already looking out the window wanting to go into the backyard, which is really exciting to be able to enjoy it all together.”
But the excitement of moving into a new home doesn’t stop there with Ethan and Lauren celebrating their eldest daughters second birthday in the new home over the weekend.
